The following general rules will be reviewed and restructured annually by the organizing committee of the Desert Battles event, in order to keep them updated and at the service of all the participants of the event (Athletes, Judges, Staff and spectator public).
1.- Selection criteria for jueceS.
This selection will be made by the organizing committee of the event.
Looking for judges to be people who are passionate about the discipline, who practice or have practiced as athletes the disciplines of calisthenics and street workout, who contribute or have contributed to the development of the calisthenics and street workout community through activities such as:
1.-Training programs and recreational activities focused on the needs of institutions or social groups.
2.-Organization and administration of sporting events recognized by the world community.
3.- Creation of spaces suitable for physical activities (focused on calisthenics and street workout disciplines) available to all people.
4. Training for all types of institutions, legal entities and individuals focused on human development and in the disciplines of calisthenics and street workout.
Demonstrating in each of these, his level of morality and conscience with and for society, his genuine interest in bringing benefit to people and his conviction to help create a better world.

A judge representing the table is appointed; who will be the link with the presenter of the event to obtain and give the results of the evaluation.
The judges must know the movements to be evaluated.
At the judges table, each judge will have the necessary tools to make their evaluations.
The judges will evaluate all the athletes equally, without giving preference to the athletes' careers or titles previously obtained or even to the team they belong to.
To avoid conflicts of interest, the judges must be impartial and not belong to any competition team that is present at the tournament.
Each judge will have their qualification and their opinion regarding the participation of each athlete; For this reason, you should not impose your opinion on that of another judge.
Judges may not participate in the competition by assisting any contestant.
The judges must remain silent during the participation of each athlete, they can only cheer with applause.
The judges are free to transit-walk throughout the competition area; This to analyze the environment, move people or things that hinder their visibility at the time the athletes perform their participation.
The judges will only be able to give their opinion to the athletes only at the end of the sporting event.
2.- Athlete selection method.
2.1 The selection of the athletes will be in charge of the organizing committee of the event.
2.2 The number of athletes selected by category will be as follows:
FEMALE CATEGORY: 10 ATHLETES
PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: 25 ATHLETES
ELITE CATEGORY: 10 ATHLETES (The first 2 places in the Professional category of the previous year).
2.3 The first 3 places in the ELITE category have the pass/direct invitation to the next event to be held.
2.4 As of the year 2022, the first 3 places in the PROFESSIONAL FREESTYLE category will have the direct pass/invitation to the DESERTBATTLES ELITE category event that is in progress.
2.5 Athletes seeking to participate in the event must:

Produce videos showing your skills in the discipline of calisthenics/StreetWorkout.
Upload your videos and information on our website. Optionally, the videos can contain presentation speech by the athletes, mentioning data such as: Name, Country of origin, age; avoiding comments of racism or obscene language.
2.6 The organizing committee will select and invite the athletes after analyzing these videos; the invitation will reach each athlete individually, in addition to publishing the official lists according to stipulated dates.
2.7 It is the responsibility of each athlete to pay for everything involved in attending the event (flights, lodging, food, among others.), In case of being an athlete sponsored by a brand, the athlete may carry logos, logos, slogans, etc., that allude to the brand that sponsors it.
2.8 Each athlete is responsible for their safety and physical health, therefore the organizing committee and organizers disclaim any problem or situation that puts the physical integrity of the athlete at risk.
2.9 It is recommended that each athlete insure himself with a health institution-medical services; in case of not having the resources to do so, the athlete may also resort to sponsorship with a brand.

2.11 The registration fee for the event will be $1,000 Mexican pesos; the selected athletes must make their registration payment according to the stipulated date.
2.12 In the event that the athlete is a minor, they must present to the committee a letter from their father, mother or guardian where they give their consent to participate in said event.
2.13 Each athlete must have a valid international travel passport that must be shown at the registration table of the event.
2.13 Each athlete will be subjected to anti-doping tests, at any stage of the sporting event, when the organizing committee decides.
2.14 Each athlete must sign a responsive letter of the event at the registration table.
2.15 In the event that an athlete cancels his participation, he must do so 4 months before the date of the event, or on any date due to major causes. In the event that the athlete cancels their participation without explanation, they will be left out of the following selections for future Desert Battles events.
2.16. If any participant cancels out of time and forms their participation, their registration will not be refundable.
3.-Evaluation Items.
A. Each judge will evaluate the totality of the athlete's participation.
B. The items to qualify will be the following:
Static movements and their variations: isometric movements.
Dynamic movements: pirouette movements.
Dynamic strength movements: tension exercises in movement.
Combos: combination of 3 elements: Static, Dynamic, Dynamic Force.

Cleanliness: In this column, the cleanliness of the presentation will be evaluated as an extra score; In the event that two or more athletes present a similar routine, the cleanup category will decide who is the winner.
Observations: In this column the judges will make observations of the participation of each athlete, this to facilitate the task of qualifying.
It will also help to have a record of the presentations in case of claims by the athletes due to the verdict of the judges.
Total: In this column, the total score obtained by the athlete in his participation will be recorded.
The maximum score that an athlete can obtain is: 50 points, in case that in each item he obtains the maximum score of 10.
The following format will be used to order the athletes in the places obtained during the performance.
After the presenter obtains the above results, he will announce the corresponding battles and the judges will have the following battle format:
This will be the evaluation format for battle rounds; Where the qualification of the presentation will be equal to that of PERFOMANCE; At the end of each battle, the judge will write the name of the winning athlete on the line at the top of the table.
After the judges will have the following format for the final round.
Finally, they will have the “Podium” format, where they will place the athlete's name and place number obtained in order from 1st to 5th place.
B. The judge representing the table will be in charge of presenting the results of each stage of the competition to the presenter of the event.
C. The method of evaluation of the participation of the athletes will be the following:
1.1 In all rounds of the competition, each judge will evaluate the five items mentioned in point number 2 of the general rules: “ASSESSMENT METHOD”.
1.2 The items of Dynamic Movements, Static Movements and Dynamic Force will be graded in the same way in each stage of the event (Score from 0 to 10).
1.4 The “Cleanliness” item will be graded in the same way in each stage of the event, from 0 to 10 points and the evaluation criteria will be in charge of each judge.
1.5 In each round and in each presentation, the judge will have his own scoring criteria, since a certain amount of points is established in the regulations, but the judge may subtract or add points depending on the difficulty of each movement.
1.6 The order of presentation of each athlete in the "PERFORMANCE" stage will be made by drawing lots.
1.7 The order of the "BATTLES" stage will be according to the places obtained in the "PERFORMANCE" stage as follows: 1st vs 10th, 2nd vs 9th, 3rd vs 8th, 4th vs 7th , 5th vs. 6th.
1.8 The order of presentation of the "FINAL" stage will be according to the order of the winners of the "BATTLES" stage.
2. The evaluation criteria in the “PERFORMANCE” round will be the following:
2.1 All athletes will have 2 minutes to make their presentation.
2.2 Each athlete's performance will begin 20 seconds after their introduction by the announcer, or immediately after the athlete raises their hand in readiness.
2.3 After the presentation of the athlete, in the category of static movements, each judge may evaluate with a score of 10 points, if the athlete performed 6 or more static exercises that meet the specific requirements mentioned in " EVALUATION METHOD 2.C”.
2.4 After the athlete's presentation, in the category of static movements, each judge may evaluate with a score of 9 points, if the athlete performed 5 static exercises that meet the specific requirements mentioned in "METHOD OF EVALUATION 2.C”.
2.5 After the athlete's presentation, in the category of static movements, each judge will be able to evaluate with a score of 8 points, if the athlete performed 4 static exercises that meet the specific requirements mentioned in "ASSESSMENT METHOD 2.C".

6.2 In the "FINAL" stage each athlete will have 3 rounds of participation of 1 minute each, without rest between the participations of the athletes.
7. No athlete may assist or assist another athlete in the participation
7.1 Athletes must wear closed shoes
